Internship Program
ICS operates a student internship system as part of our human resource development activities to provide interns with basic knowledge and understanding of the MICE *1 industry, convention industry, and convention operations.
The internship is for a relatively short period of two weeks, but by being assigned to the Convention Research Center interns can gain a feel for the convention business by selecting a research theme through interviews with staff, conducting information
searches and interviews with related organizations, and by touring and experiencing *2 conventions run by ICS.
On the final day of the internship interns give a presentation on their selected theme and answer questions from ICS employees.
*1: MICE is the acronym for Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition
*2: Onsite experience is only provided when a suitable event is in progress during the internship period.
