Macau MICE Promotion Project

JTB China, JTB Tokyo, and ICS Convention Design have launched the Macau MICE Project to help an increasing number of people experience the advantages of the MICE in rapidly-developing Macau, which is known as the Las Vegas of the East.
The Macau Government Tourist Office regards the MICE as the third core of the tourist attractions in Macau following gaming (entertainment and casinos) and the World Heritage Site.
Especially, the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel, which opened in July 2007 with a huge complex, is already famous as a symbol of Macau. The hotel, which has 3,000 rooms, has the following facilities: a casino as big as Tokyo Dome, a banquet hall covering 6,000 square meters, a sports arena that can accommodate 15,000 people, an exhibition hall of 70,000 square meters, and 320 brand shops and restaurants.
All-suite prestigious hotels targeting affluent customers are opening one after another, including MGM Grand Macau and Wynn Macau which are familiar names in Las Vegas.
The image of Macau as a city for optional one-day tours from Hong Kong has long gone. Macau will be a high-energy destination for years to come, surpassing traditional MICE destinations like Hawaii and Singapore.
The three companies of JTB China, JTB Tokyo and ICS Conventional Design, which planned this promotion project, share the latest MICE information in Macau and make it immediately available to those concerned, thus actively attracting people to Macau.
The three companies’ respective roles in the promotion project are as follows. Please contact the MICE administrator of ICS Convention Design for inquiries.
- JTB China: Local MICE tour operation (officer in charge of MICE appointed)
- JTB Tokyo: Business operation in Japan for Macau MICE clients
